ELEVATE WELLNESS ACUPUNCTURE SERVICES
“Before seeing Dr. Orsburn, I frequently experienced back and neck pain in addition to insomnia. Through acupuncture, Dr. Orsburn eliminated my pain and greatly improved my sleep. During treatments, I drift into a deep state of relaxation and often take a nap. Afterwards, I'm relaxed and my back and neck pain is gone! My only regret is not going sooner due to my fear of needles, which I quickly discovered was unfounded.”

Acupuncture is a 3000 year old medical art, and there are many approaches to learning and practicing it. Medical acupuncture is the term used to describe acupuncture performed by a physician [MD or DO] trained and licensed in Western medicine who has also received thorough training in the art of acupuncture. Such a physician may use either acupuncture or Western medicine, or a combination of both, as the need arises to treat illness.
Mei Zen Neck and Face Lift Treatments
Mei Zen means “beautiful person,” and these acupuncture techniques are a healthy option to looking and feeling younger and more vibrant. Cosmetic acupuncture has been used for centuries in China by Emperors and the wealthy and is the ONLY cosmetic procedure that improves your health.
Although not as visually dramatic as cosmetic surgical procedures, the obvious results may include improved skin tone and firmness, a reduction of deeper wrinkles, possible elimination of finer wrinkles, and improvement of the neck line. Cosmetic acupuncture may also have additional positive effects on your health such as improved digestion, better sleep quality, reduction in hot flashes, improvement in mild anxiety and depression, and improved energy and sense of well-being.
By definition, a scar is the fibrous tissue that replaces normal tissue destroyed by traumatic injury, disease, or a surgical incision. Scarring is a natural part of the wound healing process; however, the fibrous tissue that makes up scars can pull on underlying and adjacent tissues causing pain, burning, itching, or other unpleasant sensations. The pulling can span a much greater distance than one might realize, and scars as a cause of pain are often overlooked. It is in situations such as these that scar deactivation may be considered as part of the pain management treatment plan. Scar deactivation is the use of acupuncture techniques and/or infiltration of a holistic solution into scar tissue to break up fibrous bands and release blockages to energy flow. This treatment may be done over almost any part of the body. If you suspect your pain or other symptoms may be related to a new or old scar, please contact Elevate Wellness.
Cupping is a therapy used in many cultures around the globe for thousands of years. Glass cups are applied to certain areas of the body and an air vacuum is created. This draws the skin up into the cup, opening the skin's pores and stimulating the flow of blood, balancing energy flow, removing obstructions to smooth energy flow, and creating an avenue for toxins to be drawn out of the body. Although there are myriad other uses, in the United States it is most commonly used to treat painful conditions such as joint pain, arthritis, myofascial pain, and headaches. Cupping has been shown to decrease pain and increase range of motion.
Gua sha is a traditional Chinese medical treatment in which the skin is scraped to produce light bruising. It is believed to release unhealthy elements from injured areas and stimulate blood and oxygen flow to induce healing. Simply stated, it is a technique for body detoxification and deep massage that is used for many conditions including myofascial pain, aches and stiffness, and headaches.
