Dr. Libby Orsburn is a licensed Medical Doctor, Functional Medicine Physician and Medical Acupuncturist in Franklin, TN.  Dr. Orsburn, who has been treating patients for over two decades,  enjoys using her holistic approach to help patients overcome chronic illness and improve their overall health.  Using a unique fusion of Western, Eastern, and Functional Medicine, she is able to treat conditions causing pain, fatigue, and insomnia along with many other persistent and frustrating conditions such as IBS, thyroid and adrenal issues, and autoimmune diseases.

Dr. Orsburn is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

by the American Board of Medical Specialties, and is a

Certified Practitioner of The Institute for Functional Medicine.

 

A graduate of University of Louisville School of Medicine, Dr. Orsburn completed her internship training in OB/GYN at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX followed by Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency training at University of Texas Southwestern/Parkland Hospital in Dallas, TX.

Her fascination with Eastern Medicine began while in residency and led her to train in Medical Acupuncture under Dr. Joseph Helms, founding president of the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture. She subsequently received cosmetic acupuncture training under Martha Lucas, PhD, LAc, the creator of the

Mei Zen Face and Neck Lift techniques.

Dr. Orsburn’s passion for functional medicine is rooted in her own personal experience. Two years before the above photograph was taken, she suffered from an incapacitating illness. When many months of traditional medical therapies failed to produce a diagnosis or provide relief, Dr. Orsburn discovered functional medicine and ultimately identified the root cause of her illness and a cure.

Approximately two years later, she summited Mt. Chiquita (13,075 ft.) and Mt. Ypsilon (13,500 ft.) on the same day.  The photograph above, taken on Mt. Ypsilon, represents victory on many levels.
